I can honestly say that Heather has changed my life. As trite as that sounds, she has helped me become a stronger person physically, mentally and spiritually through yoga and bootcamp. Her non-threatening, yet firm encouragement in bootcamp class is just what I need to push myself harder. I can’t believe how much stronger and more confident I am!
I really enjoy working out with Heather. She has helped me set and reach goals. She knows how to motivate me on days when I feel like working out. She mixes up the workouts to keep them fresh. She has increased my strength and endurance so I can walk a half-marathon. We are presently working towards walking the trail up to Mt Leconte in the Smokey Mountains and I can’t wait!
The Self Care Retreat in Hocking Hills was relaxing, rejuvenating, the food was awesome, and was an overall great experience!
The Self Care Retreat was an opportunity to be with kindred spirits in a renewal weekend. Hocking Hills could not have been better to get away and Love Yourself! The retreat sounded like what I needed and wanted and it was exactly that and more!
This was my second retreat with Heather and it was Wonderful as I knew it would be. The food is always so good and the place we stayed in this time was very nice. I always come away from these retreats learning something new about Yoga, food and myself. I would recommend a retreat by Heather to anyone, I was hesitant at first and now I am always looking forward to the next one!!!
It was a rewarding experience! The interaction and sharing with the group provided a wonderful opportunity for healing, growth and support. A really nice balance of physical activity, spiritual connections and awesome healthy meals. It was comforting and nurturing to have the cabin filled with such amazing smells during our various activities.
I highly recommend a retreat run by Heather Poast. She gives thought to every detail in making the retreat comfortable, meaningful and a great experience. If you like yoga, healthy gourmet food and the outdoors, do not miss Heather’s retreats! Namaste.
I wasn’t quite sure if I could do bootcamp when I started and ten months later I’m still going strong! I feel stronger, more toned and I feel so much better. I feel guilty when I have to miss a day because I know everyone else will be there. It is challenging and rewarding. Heather is a great teacher and motivator. She always gives a modified option if you can’t quite do the exercise. Heather is always positive and encouraging. I haven’t felt this good in years! Thank you, Heather!
The Self Care Retreat in Hocking Hills was a manageable getaway travel-wise and a good value. Nice to be with like-minded individuals in a relaxed but well-planned atmosphere. Looking forward to the next one!
The yoga, hiking and vegetarian food retreat was the perfect getaway for the approaching cold weather slump we all face. It’s a perfect pairing of yoga and hiking with open conversation and relaxation. You learn a lot about your practice, new or experienced with yoga and you really get to push yourself on the hikes. You feed your soul with spiritually based questions/conversations, your belly with Heather’s DELICIOUS food and your heart with the love radiating from the leaders and the attendees. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat - to get away with girlfriends, to take a break from family/friends and a chaotic life or just for a positive refresher and opportunity to reset your intentions :)
Heather’s warm and welcoming approach helped me to become excited and confident when meeting new ladies. The group was fantastic and I hope to join again in the near future. I was so inspired by the weekend that I have signed up for a 10k trail race this weekend in Indiana.
